Managing Director & Independent Financial Adviser

Michael established Integrated Financial Solutions in 2009. He is an experienced Financial Planner with over thirty years experience in the Financial Services Industry including several years at HSBC before setting up the Independent Adviser Firm, Personal Investment Management Ltd in 1997 with the aim of providing a quality client focused business. That business was eventually acquired by the then National Accountancy firm Bentley Jennison in 2006 and Michael became a partner.

Michael holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and has the Advanced qualification awarded by the Kinder Institute of Life Planning. Michael specialises in private client work with an emphasis on goals based financial planning, a key component of which is the LifePlan Cashflow System that he has developed. www.lifeplancashflow.co.uk

He is married to Vivienne, and they have two adult children. He works with clients all over the UK. In his spare time, Michael enjoys hiking and travel.

Independent Financial Adviser & Director

Shaun joined the Integrated team in 2012. He is a fully qualified independent financial adviser with over twenty three years experience having spent most of his career with HSBC Bank.

Shaun holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is a member of the Personal Finance Society. He is committed to continued professional development.

He has a passion for his work and has always enjoyed advising a diversified range of clients on both personal & business financial planning. He is never happier than when he is faced with a challenge and has a positive approach to all that he does.

He is married to Georgina and has 4 children. Shaun is a family man and works hard to maintain his work/life balance. He lives in Gloucester and has relationships with clients in the Gloucestershire area and beyond.

Independent Financial Adviser & Director

Shaun joined the Integrated Financial Solutions team in 2012. He has over thirty years experience as a financial adviser.

Shaun holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is a member of the Personal Finance Society. He has advised clients from a wide age range, so has a wealth of experience of financial planning needs at all stages of life.

He has studied at London Business School which has enabled him to specialise in dealing with corporate clients and is actively involved in assisting company directors with their strategic plans.

Shaun works with clients in Bath, Bristol, London and beyond. He is married to Debs and they have four children. In his spare time, Shaun enjoys rugby, food and wine.

Operations Manager

Jon joined the company at its inception in January 2009. He has over thirty two years experience in the Financial Services industry in various managerial and advisory roles with such companies as Aviva, Axa and HSBC Private Banking.

For the last twenty one years he has worked with Michael Alderson at Personal Investment Management, Bentley Jennison and now Integrated Financial Solutions. Jon is qualified as an Associate of the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Insurance Institute.

Married to Lynn, with a daughter, Beth, Jon lives in Chipping Sodbury and enjoys watching football and travelling in his spare time.

Independent Financial Adviser

Having graduated from Exeter University in 2015, Alex joined the team as an Administrator in January 2016.

He has progressed within the firm over the years, studying for his professional exams and is now a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser.

Having obtained his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, he now wishes to work towards achieving Chartered status.

He brings enthusiasm and energy to the role and is looking forward to a long career in financial services.

Alex is also an accomplished musician and enjoys playing in bands and writing his own music in his free time. He lives in Bradford on Avon and feels very at home in the area.

Paraplanner

Sue joined the Integrated Financial Solutions team in March 2014. She has over thirty five years experience working in financial services, twenty six of these with HSBC Bank.

Sue is qualified to Diploma Level and is a member of the Personal Finance Society. Her main responsibilities are to provide a paraplanning support service to the advisers. She is a conscientious and diligent member of the team.

She is married to Mike and has two children, Katie and Harry. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cycling and entertaining. She lives in Bath and is a keen supporter of Bath Rugby, cheering them on at The Rec whenever possible.

Paraplanner

Miranda, also known to many as Mo, joined Integrated Financial Solutions in September 2022 as a Paraplanner.  Miranda has over 20 years experience working for IFA firms, initially as an Administrator for Mike in the days of Personal Investment Management.  Since then, she has worked for both large and small financial planning firms having worked most recently for abrdn Financial Planning & Advice Ltd following the acquisition of Fraser Heath Financial Management, where she worked for 16 years. Miranda has been a paraplanner since 2014 and is a member of the Personal Finance Society.  She is keen to continue her professional development and is on her way to completing the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Miranda lives in Yate with her husband and two children. In her spare time, Miranda enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching films and likes to keep active by playing netball.

Paraplanner

Ollie joined the team as a paraplanner in September 2021 having recently moved to the area.

Prior to joining IFS, Ollie worked at an IFA firm in Dorset since 2018. He has a background in Ancient History and Archaeology, having studied the subjects at Cardiff University, graduating in 2015. Ollie then attended Reading University between 2016 and 2017, gaining a master’s degree in Strategic Studies. His time at university has given him strong writing skills, which come in useful when compiling client reports.

Ollie lives in Lacock with his fiancée Sophie and Cocker Spaniel Winnie. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the local area, visiting historic sites, reading and playing football.

Administrator

Sue joined Integrated Financial Solutions in July 2018 as an Administrator providing  support for our advisers and clients.

Prior to joining us Sue worked for thirty five years at HSBC Bank and during her time as a Premier Manager obtained her Cefa Qualification. She then worked for a number of years in the Mortgage Broker arena but missed the Wealth environment and the provision of dedicated client service.

Sue lives in Trowbridge and having celebrated the end of her first career with a Nile cruise has the travel bug with a ever growing list of far flung places to visit.

Administrator

Rachel joined Integrated Financial Solutions in July 2017 as an Administrator providing administrative support for our advisers and clients.  Prior to joining us, Rachel has worked mainly as an accounts assistant, most recently for Mercedes Benz.

Rachel lives in Melksham with her husband Tim and her three daughters Lacey, Evie and Mila. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dogs and eating out.

Administrator

Isobel, known as Izzy, joined Integrated Financial Solutions in June 2022 as an Administrator following a career break to raise her family. Izzy has over 8 years’ experience working for IFA firms and within the Financial services industry.

She is currently studying for her professional qualifications and is looking forward to a long career in the industry.

Izzy lives in Calne with her husband Andy and their three children Alexandra, Zara and Charlie. Izzy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, paddle boarding and keeping fit.
